dc.description.abstract | Ikan mas termasuk salah satu ikan dengan laju pertumbuhan yang cukup
tinggi. Astaxanthin adalah antioksidan dari golongan karotenoid yang dapat
mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas
suplementasi astaxanthin komersial pada pakan terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan ikan
mas (Cyprinus carpio). Penelitian menggunakan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan,
yaitu K (0 mg kg-1
pakan), L50 (50 mg kg-1
pakan), L100 (100 mg kg-1
pakan), dan
L150 (150 mg kg-1
pakan). Ikan dipelihara dengan kepadatan 12 ekor per akuarium
selama 60 hari. Pemberian pakan uji dilakukan secara at satiation dengan frekuensi
sebanyak tiga kali sehari, yaitu pukul 08.00, 12.00, dan 16.00. Parameter yang
diamati yaitu laju pertumbuhan spesifik, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, rasio konversi
pakan, jumlah konsumsi pakan, retensi protein, retensi lemak, rasio efisiensi
protein, dan feed cost per gain. Suplementasi astaxanthin komersial pada pakan
menunjukkan kinerja pertumbuhan yang berbeda nyata (p<0,05) antar perlakuan.
Kinerja pertumbuhan ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio) terbaik diperoleh pada pakan
dengan penambahan astaxanthin komersial sebanyak 100 mg kg-1

dc.description.abstract | Common carp is one of the fish with a fairly high growth rate. Astaxanthin
is a carotenoid antioxidant which can affect fish growth. This study aims to evaluate
the effectiveness of commercial astaxanthin supplementation in feed on the growth
performance of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The research used four treatments
and three replications, namely K (0 mg kg-1 feed), L50 (50 mg kg-1
feed), L100
(100 mg kg-1
feed), and L150 (150 mg kg-1
feed). Fish were maintained at a density
of 12 fish per aquarium for 60 days. The test feed was given at satiation with a
frequency of three times a day, namely at 08.00, 12.00 and 16.00. The parameters
observed were specific growth rate, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, amount of
feed consumption, protein retention, fat retention, protein efficiency ratio, and feed
cost per gain. Astaxanthin commercial supplementation in feed showed
significantly different growth performance (p<0.05) between treatments. The best
growth performance of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) was obtained with feed
supplemented with 100 mg kg-1
of commercial astaxanthin. | id |
