Visualisasi Informasi Monitoring Situs Web Unit IPB

Abstract

Checking hundreds of websites manually is quite difficult and takes much time. IPB has hundreds of websites that should be monitored every day. The goal of this research is to make an application for website monitoring system with a visualization method that is able to represent the views of all websites that are monitored. The aim of the system is to monitor the websites easily and quickly. IPB Unit Websites Monitoring is an application that can monitor all websites related to the IPB. Each site is checked whether the state can still be accessed (up) or (down/error). The number of websites include more than 100 websites, and they are monitored every 6 hours automatically. The result of each site will be directly sent to the administrator's email so it can be tackled immediately. This application will visualize the status of each website so that it can directly provide the state of the website. Visualization methods used are the segmented view, stacked bar view, and chart graphics. Segmented view classifies each website into boxes based on color state. Red for error (down) state, orange for warning and green for normal (up). Segmented view is divided into two kinds of view: grouping view and category view. Stacked bar view group each website to each state into percentage bar. Chart graphics is provided to see the development status of any website.
