Food safety is one important things on food. Wrthout good practice in food safety (hygiene and sanitation) it will be difficult to make safe product. The aim of this study is to know how food safety practices of food vendor in elementary school in Bogor. This study is a part of data baseline "Developing Model of Healthy Food Street Education Based on Elementary School Lever done by Southeast Asian Food And Agricultural Science and Technology (SEAFAST) Center and 'lembaga Penelitian dan Pengembangan Masyarakat lnstitut Pertanian Bogor' (LPPM) IPB. Design of this study is cross section study.
The result of this study share that most of the vendor in the canteen and outer canteen have less knowledge and neutral attitude about nutrition and food safety. Half of the vendor in the outer canteen have bad category on food safety practice but half of the vendor in the canteen have enough category on food safety practice. Observation of this food safety practice consist of: personal hygiene, handling and storage food and beverage, facility and equipment sanitation, handling contaminate animal, place and utensil sanitation and application of use additives food. This study suggest that school should make routine monitoring and always give infomiation about nutrition and food safety to improve food safety practices.
