dc.description.abstract | The internship activities were carried out at Cikasungka Estate, West Java
Banten District, under the management of KSO PTPN III. The purpose was to
understand and learn the management and technical aspects of oil palm harvesting
at Cikasungka Estate. Observation data were analyzed descriptively and
quantitatively using percentages and averages. Overall, the oil palm harvesting
management in Division 1 of Cikasungka Estate has been operating quite well, as
evident from various aspects such as the availability of harvest labor in Division 1,
which is sufficient. The average fruit set is 75.06%, and the average fruit-to-bunch
ratio is 69.8%. However, there are some aspects that are not optimal and need
improvement. The average harvesting capacity falls below the RKAP standard. The
most influential factor on harvesting capacity is employee working hours. The daily
production obtained has not yet been able to reach the production target, with a
percentage of 82.42% of the target. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
by harvesters in two sectors has not been maximized. | id |
