      Abstract
Kesimpulannya, kemungkinan besar kadar asam palmitat darah ibu mempengaruhi berat lahir, juga kadar asam palmitat tali pusat mempengaruhi massa lemak bayi.

Fat intake in pregnant women, particularly palmitic acid, the main ingredient in palm oil, might have an impact on infant's growth and development. This study focused on knowing the relationship between maternal palmitic acid intake, palmitic acid levels in maternal’s blood and cord blood, with infant's body composition (birth weight and fat mass). This research is analysis of secondary data, collected in May-October 2018. The data obtained in electronic files. This study uses a a total sample of 142 people whose data is complete for final analysis. The results showed there is no relationship between palmitic acid intake with birth weight or fat mass. In addition, there is no relationship between palmitic acid levels in blood and cord blood with birth weight or fat mass. However, two indicators close to being significant, namely the relationship between blood palmitic acid level with birth weight (p = 0,.089) as well as the relationship between cord blood palmitic acid level with fat mass (p = 0,.053). I. In conclusion, there e is high probability that maternal blood palmitic acid level affect birth weight and cord blood palmitic acid level affect infant fat mass.
