      Abstract
Nilai WVTR 4,213 g/m2.jam-4,982 g/m2.jam. Nilai kelarutan film dalam air 9,554%-26,893%. Nilai swelling 141,989%-351,406%. Waktu biodegradasi sempurna yaitu 12-18 hari. Gugus fungsi yang terkandung adalah O-H, N-H, C-H, CH2, C-O-C, dan C-O. Morfologi permukaan film terdapat ulasan putih dan kurang homogen.

Wound dressings are used for a faster wound healing process thereby creating better conditions. One of the uses of biodegradable wound dressings is in the form of films or coatings made of biopolymer (chitosan) for medical purposes as wound dressings. Chitosan has the potential as a raw material for making wound dressings with the addition of nanocrystalline cellulose as a filler. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the concentration of nanocrystalline cellulose on the characteristics of the composite film, as well as the effect of microwave radiation on the crosslinking process of the CNC/chitosan composite film. Characteristic includes water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), water solubility test, swelling test, biodegradability, fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The WVTR value is 4,213 g/m2.hour-4,982 g/m2.hour. Film solubility value in water is 9,554%-26,893%. The swelling ratio value is 141,989%-351,406%. The complete degradability time for films is 12-18 days. The functional groups contained are O-H, N-H, C-H, CH2, C-O-C, and C-O. The surface morphology of the film is white and less homogeneous.
