dc.description.abstractVarietas hibrida yang berasal dari hasil persilangan dua galur atau lebih merupakan salah satu upaya peningkatan produksi jagung manis. Oleh karena itu, informasi tentang keragaan dari suatu galur jagung manis penting dalam perakitan varietas hibrida jagung manis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keragaan berbagai galur jagung manis koleksi IPB. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan November 2022 hingga Februari 2023 di Kebun Percobaan IPB Leuwikopo, Dramaga, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian terdiri dari satu faktor yaitu 15 galur jagung manis. Penanaman dilakukan menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 45 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keragaan antar galur jagung manis. Genotipe berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap semua karakter kecuali diameter batang dan anthesis silking interval (ASI). Genotipe T13.1.8.16, SB8.4.3, SM1.1.9, SM12.2.13, dan SB5.1B.3B.1 potensial digunakan sebagai tetua hibrida karena memiliki beberapa keunggulan pada karakter yang diamati seperti produktivitas, padatan terlarut total, serta anthesis silking interval (ASI). Genotipe SM1.1.9 dan T13.1.8.16 menghasilkan produktivitas tertinggi yaitu 16,41 ton ha-1 dan 14,97 ton ha-1. Genotipe SB8.4.3 menghasilkan padatan terlarut total (PTT) tertinggi sebesar 16,50 obrix. Anthesis silking interval (ASI) tertinggi terdapat pada oleh genotipe SM1.1.9. Genotipe SM12.2.13 dan SB5.1B.3B.1 menghasilkan panjang tongkol, jumlah bij per baris, dan ukuran biji tertinggi.id
dc.description.abstractHybrid varieties derived from the crossing of two or more strains are one of the efforts to increase sweet corn production. Therefore, information on the performance of a sweet corn breeding line is important in the assembly of sweet corn hybrid varieties. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of various sweet corn breeding line from the IPB collection. The research was conducted from November 2022 to February 2023 at IPB Leuwikopo Experimental Farm, Dramaga, Bogor, West Java. The study consisted of one factor, 15 sweet corn breeding line. Planting was done using a RKLT design with 3 replications so that there were 45 experimental units. The results showed that there were differences in performance between sweet corn breeding line. Genotype had a very significant effect on all characters except stem diameter and anthesis silking interval (ASI). Genotypes T13.1.8.16, SB8.4.3, SM1.1.9, SM12.2.13 and SB5.1B.3B.1 have the potential to be used as hybrid parent because they have several advantages in the observed characters such as productivity, total soluble solids, and anthesis silking interval (ASI). Genotypes SM1.1.9 and T13.1.8.16 produced the highest productivity of 16.41 ton ha-1 and 14.97 ton ha-1. Genotype SB8.4.3 produced the highest total soluble solids (TSS) at 16.50 obrix. Anthesis silking interval (ASI) was highest in genotype SM1.1.9. Genotypes SM12.2.13 and SB5.1B.3B.1 produced the highest cob length, number of seeds per row, and seed size.id
