Nilai Ekstrim Gula Darah Tikus Diabetes Sebagai Model Kasus Respon Individual

Abstract

There were many reports showed a good result in using Sambiloto extract as a Anti Diabetes Drug (ADD). Various pathway of Sambiloto extract were also reported such as an insulin secretagogue, as a glucose absorption inhibitor and many other enrollments in controlling blood glucose level. This finding indicated that Sambiloto extract has promising potential herbal to be used as ADD. In fact, there were many various results of using Sambiloto extract to cure diabetes cases. This situation is a chance to evaluate more detail the data on diabetic model rat induced by Streptozotocin to be able understand more about it. The study used 24 rats that divided into 2 groups; 12 for diabetic model and the rest were control group. The diabetic model was then treated by Sambiloto extract and the blood glucose evaluated at once in 2 days for 24 days period of study. The diabetic model with extreme blood glucose high (>400mg/dl) and low (<150mg/dl) were then followed the respond to the Sambiloto extract treatment as an individual case. The result found that diabetic model with >400mg/dl blood glucose level gradually slow down consistently and back to the normal value at the end of study. The diabetic model with <150mg/dl showed uncertainty pattern blood glucose in respond to the treatment. In early treatment blood glucose rice up to more than 300 ml/dl then slightly down and rise up more than 400 ml/dl, while finally come down to the normal value at the end of study. The results suggested that individual response period was accure during period of treatment which could be harmfull to the patien. As a note the treatment give a good control of blood glucose at the end of study.
