Peran Gender dalam Rumah Tangga Peserta Keluarga Berencana (KB) pada Program Kampung KB

Abstract

Program Kampung KB merupakan program pembangunan yang memerlukan partisipasi masyarakat, baik oleh suami maupun istri untuk meningkatkan kualitas masyarakat. Maka dari itu, aspek gender tidak dapat diabaikan dari pelaksanaan program pembangunan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan didukung oleh data kualitatif. Analisis hubungan antar variabel dilakukan dengan uji korelasi rank spearman dengan jumlah responden 35 rumah tangga peserta KB. Istri bekerja mengalami beban kerja ganda, karena beban kerja domestik belum sepenuhnya tergantikan oleh suami atau orang lain, sedangkan istri harus mengerjakan kerja produktif juga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pembagian kerja gender dengan tingkat pendapatan rumah tangga; antara tingkat akses dan tingkat kontrol dengan partisipasi pengambilan keputusan suami, partisipasi pelaksanaan suami, dan partisipasi menikmati hasil suami dalam Kampung KB. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi suami dalam program Kampung KB dipengaruhi oleh tingkat akses dan tingkat kontrol dalam rumah tangga. Partisipasi istri tidak dipengaruhi oleh kesetaraan gender, tetapi oleh informasi yang mereka dapatkan dari kader Kampung KB melalui kegiatan BKB (Bina Keluarga Balita).

The KB Village Program is a development program that requires community participation, both by husband and wife to improve the quality of society. Therefore, the gender aspect cannot be ignored in the implementation of development programs. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and supported by qualitative data. Analysis of the relationship between variables was carried out using the Spearman rank correlation test with a total of 35 households participating in family planning. Working wives experience a double workload, because domestic workloads have not been completely replaced by husbands or other people, while wives have to do productive work as well. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the gender division of labor and the level of household income; between the level of access and the level of control with the husband's decision-making participation, the husband's participation in the implementation, and the husband's participation in enjoying the results in the family planning village. This shows that the husband's participation in the Kampung KB program is influenced by the level of access and level of control in the household. Wives' participation is not influenced by gender equality, but by the information they get from KB Village cadres through BKB (Balita Family Development) activities.
