| dc.description.abstract | One of the riches of Indonesian fauna that is increasingly in demand by the public, whether for collections, ekotourism, or as an object of research, is insects, especially butterflies. The increasing butterfly trade has given rise to incentives for collectors to catch as many butterflies from the wild as a source of income. The activity of taking butterflies from nature can threaten the existence of butterflies in nature. To overcome this, captive breeding efforts are needed to reduce the taking of butterflies from nature, so that the sustainability of their populations in nature can be maintained and allow their use by humans. Captive breeding is a conservation effort outside its natural habitat. Captive breeding techniques include housing, broodstock procurement, feed and reproduction aspects. | id |
