Perancangan Ulang Tata Letak Fasilitas Produksi pada Rumah Produksi Roti di Kecamatan Cipanas
Abstract
The bread production house in Cipanas sub-district is one of the fostered businesses of IPB and Astra International which was developed by seven villages including Batulawang Village, Ciloto Village, Cimacan Village, Cipanas Village, Palasari Village, Sindanglaya Village, and Sindangjaya Village. The bread production house was inaugurated in March 2022 and is still in the preparation and development stage. Things that must be improved regarding the production facility layout are the placement of the toilet door that is not in accordance with the CPPB- IRT rules, the placement of equipment that does not pay attention to the movement of the material flow so that there is backtracking, and the placement of proofing stations and baking stations that are far apart from each other resulting in longer distanc for workers. This study aims to create an alternative layout of a new production facility layout that can improve the weaknesses of the previous layout.
The method used is an engineering design approach which includes the stages of exploration, problem verification, ideation, prototype development, and prtotype validation. The production facility layout redesign was carried out usuing the CORELAP algorithm. The result of the selected production facility layout provide a total displacement distance in one production batch of 90,92 m with material handling costs of Rp.77.471,00.
