. Scale Up Proses Produksi Krim dan Sabun Wajah beserta Analisis Kelayakan Finansial di PT. Ratu Bio Indonesia
Abstract
Pada pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini, penulis bekerjasama dengan PT. Ratu Bio
Indonesia yang dimana perusahaan tersebut merupakan jenis industri maklon yang
berfokus pada pengembangan produk skincare dan homecare. Didapatkan
permasalahan yaitu perusahaan ingin mengembangkan produk kosmetik namun belum
memiliki formula dan proses produksi secara Industri. Scale up proses produksi
merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam pembuatan suatu produk. Rangkaian proses
produksi dilakukan mulai dari persiapan bahan baku, penimbangan, pengadukan
(Mixing), homogenizing (kondisi ini hanya berlaku jika setelah proses pengadukan
campuran bahan belum homogen), lalu produk disimpan sementara, dan terakhir
dilakukan filling untuk menuangkan produk ke kemasan. Penggunaan alat untuk proses
produksi krim dan sabun meliputi Mixing Tank, Rotary Drum Mixer, dan Steam Boiler.
Berdasarkan hasil optimasi scale up dari skala lab didapatkan bahwa laju agitasi
untuk produk krim sebesar 53 rpm dan produk sabun sebesar 42 rpm dengan
menetapkan parameter waktu dan suhu tidak berubah antara skala laboratorium dengan
skala industri. Selain itu didapatkan juga rendemen dari produk krim dan sabun sebesar
90% dan 87%. Perhitungan neraca energi menunjukan bahwa kebutuhan energi panas
dan energi listrik sudah sesuai dengan alat yang digunakan. Setelah semua proses scale
up dibuat, dilakukan analisis kelayakan finansial. Berdasarakan parameter yang telah
ditetapkan, proyek layak untuk dikembangkan. In the implementation of this final project, the author cooperates with PT. Ratu Bio Indonesia, where the company is a one of the tolling industry that focuses on developing skin care and homecare products. The problem is that the company wants to develop cosmetic products but does not yet have a formula and industrial production process. Scale up the production process is one of the important factors in the manufacture of a product. The series of production processes are carried out starting from the preparation of raw materials, weighing, mixing, and homogenizing (this condition only applies if after the mixing process the mixture of materials has not been homogeneous), then the product is temporarily stored, and finally filling is carried out to pour the product into the packaging. The use of tools for the cream and soap production process includes Mixing Tank, Rotary Drum Mixer, and Steam Boiler. Based on the results of scale up optimization from the lab scale, it was found that the agitation rate for cream products was 53 rpm and for soap, products were 42 rpm by setting time and temperature parameters unchanged between the laboratory scale and industrial scale. In addition, the cream and soap products yield was 90% and 87%, respectively. Calculation of the energy balance shows that the need for thermal and electrical energy is relevant to the equipment used. After all, the scale up processes are made, a financial feasibility analysis is carried out. Based on the parameters that have been set, the project is feasible to be developed.
