dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study is analyzing: 1) the perception of college student upon gender consciousness; 2) the relation between primary socialization (sex, religion, nation tribe, education level of parents, parents occupation, and salary level of parents),) with perception of college student upon gender consciousness; 3) the relation between secondary socialization (living area, organization activity, mass media interaction, relationship with friend, grade of gender and development lecture, and cumulative achievement indeks) with perception of college student upon gender consciousness. The samples of this study are collegian of Fakultas Ekologi Manusia, Departemen Sains Komunikasi dan Pengembangan Masyarakat. This study started on May until June 2009 which using total sample are 70 respondents. Data were analyzes by using SPSS 14 program. The result of the study indicates that: 1) The perception of college student upon gender consciousness are high (39 respondents) and the others (31 respondents) have medium perception level of college student upon gender consciousness; 2) The primary socialization that have significant relationship with perception of college student upon gender consciousness is only sex and the others don’t have significant relationship with perception of college student upon gender consciousness; 3) all secondary socialization (living area, organization activity, mass media interaction, relationship with friend, grade of gender and development lecture, and cumulative achievement indeks) don’t have significant relationship with perception of college student upon gender consciousness | id |
