Pengaruh Perubahan Struktur Agraria Akibat Konversi Lahan Pertanian terhadap Tingkat Kesejahteraan Petani Perkotaan

Abstract

Land as an agrarian resource has an important role in human life. Humans use land to fulfill various aspects of their lives, such as economic, socio-cultural, and security. Nowadays, the growth of the urban population (urbanization) encourages land conversion activities that make changes in the agrarian structure of urban farmers. This study aims to identify changes in agrarian structure due to conversion of agricultural land, identify various livelihood strategies carried out by farmers, and their effects on the level of welfare of farmers' households. The results of the study using simple linear regression analysis showed that changes in agrarian structure had a significant effect on the level of welfare of farmers' households. The livelihood strategy as a moderating variable in this study strengthens the effect of changes in agrarian structure due to agricultural land conversion on the level of welfare of farmer households. The variety of livelihood strategies pursued by farmer households after the change in agrarian structure is dominated by engineering strategies for agricultural livelihoods and other distributions of dual livelihood patterns and migration.
