      Potensi Simpanan Karbon pada Tegakan Campuran Akasia dan Puspa di KHDTK Haurbentes Kabupaten Bogor

      Abstract
      Hutan memiliki peranan penting dalam mengendalikan pemanasan global. Hutan menyerap CO2 dan menyimpannya sebagai biomassa tumbuhan melalui proses fotosintesis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung potensi biomassa dan simpanan karbon pada tegakan campuran akasia dan puspa di KHDTK Haurbentes, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat petak contoh berukuran 20 x 20 m. Pengukuran biomassa pancang, tiang, dan pohon dilakukan dengan metode non destruktif sedangkan pengukuran biomassa serasah dan tumbuhan bawah menggunakan metode destruktif. Analisis contoh serasah dan tumbuhan bawah untuk memperoleh nilai berat kering tanur dan karbon tersimpan dilakukan di Laboratorium Pengaruh Hutan, Fakultas Kehutanan dan Lingkungan IPB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi biomassa dan simpanan karbon pada tegakan campuran akasia dan puspa di KHDTK Haurbentes sebesar 31.70 ton/ha dan 15.62 ton C/ha. Hasil pendugaan potensi simpanan karbon berbanding lurus dengan potensi biomassa.
       
      Forest has an important role in controlling global warming. Forest absorbs CO2 and stores it as plant biomass through the process of photosynthesis. The purpose of this research is to calculate biomass and carbon storage potential of acacia and puspa mixed stand at KHDTK Haurbentes, Bogor. The research was conducted by making sample plots measuring 20 x 20 meters. The measurement of the biomass of saplings, poles, and trees was carried out using a non-destructive method, while the measurement of the biomass of litter and understorey using a destructive method. The analysis of litter and understorey samples to obtain the dry weight of the kiln and stored carbon is carry out at Pengaruh Hutan Laboratory, Faculty of Forestry and Enviroment, IPB. The result of this research showed that potential for biomass and carbon storage of acacia and puspa mixed stand at KHDTK Haurbentes are 31.70 ton/ha and 15.62 ton/ha. The estimation of carbon storage was directly proportional to biomass potential.
