dc.description.abstractThe existence of trees at the landscape has an important role to create the comfort for users. However, the damaged trees may danger especially in high activity areas, as well as at the roadside greenbelt. This is because trees and the broken branches may fallen down which can lead to traffic accidents and endanger the safety of road users. This study aims to determine the physical condition of the tree, the tree damage and the level of tree risk. This research was carried out on the roadside greenbelt. In this case, the roads have been surveyed at five streets, i.e. Jendral Sudirman Street, Ikhlas Street, Tidar Street, Tentara Pelajar Street, and Pemuda Street in Magelang City. Data collection was conducted in order to find name of species, number of tree, tree dimensions, and type of damage. The research used the method of ISA Tree Risk Assessment. The result shows that there were 705 trees observed in five roadside greenbelt with 945 cases of damage. Based on the risk classification as much as 0,28% of trees is identified as a very high risk, 10,78% high risk, 25,11% medium risk, and 63,83% low risk. Based on those analysis, the recommendation of tree maintenance is development of the synchronization of data, preparation of maintenance strategies and maintenance techniques.id
