dc.description.abstractBerhala Island is one of the 92 outermost small islands in Indonesia. The island has an area about 44.75 Ha and coastline about 700 m. There are five natural objects of tourism that exist on this island which are the beach, tombolo, Sokong Nenek Island, Sokong Siembang Island, and the jungle of the island. These objects have very potential to support the concept of eco-marine tourism which has been set by the Government of Serdang Bedagai regency. The observation method of this research will be done by observing some aspects such as legal, biophysical, tourism, and social aspects. Concept for the planning is to create an island that can maintain environmental sustainability, participatory, and educational. Site zoning is divided in two zones, zone of tourist utilization at 22.55% and conservation zone at 77.45%. Main area is used for tourism while conservation spaces just as protection area.en
