This research was a trial step in order to study the potential of SD-3 sweet corn genotype to be developed into high-yielding variety which is able to compete with commercial varieties. The experiment used Randomized Complete Block Design, single factor, with five treatments and four replications. The treatment consisted of one sweet corn genotype (SD-3) and four comparison varieties (Super Sweet, Bonanza, Sweet Boy, and Sugar 75). This experiment was aimed to evaluate the appearance, yield and quality of SD-3 genotype with four comparison varieties in Bogor by observing agronomic character in the field, vegetative and generative growth, production potential as well as quantity and quality of crop. Data was analyzed with ANOVA (F-test) then continued with Dunnet test (α = 5 %) and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of research showed that there was a significant different in several quantitative variables of sweet corn. Genotype treatment did not significantly affect on the productivity. Based on comparative advantage, SD-3 genotype is better than all comparison varietiesen
