| dc.description.abstract | Based on the size of fishing gear, purse seine in Sibolga divided into two types: pukat rapat with a maximum length of 750 meters, and pukat tongkol maximum length 1,000 meters. Due to a decrease the production of small pelagic fish in the Sibolga waters have impact fishermen used pukat tongkol with previously dominated pukat rapat. Productivity of purse seine in Sibolga is 6,025.3 ton/year. This study aims to describe the pukat tongkol and determine the feasibility of through financial analysis. The method used was a survey and experimental fishing. Purse seine fisheries with 56 GT have Rp. 557,816,018 per year with 25 trips per year. Purse seine fishing gear proper developed based on R/C ratio of 1.34 and payback period within 1-2 years. | en |
