| dc.description.abstract | The objectives of this research is to analyze the waves of social change that occurred in Babakan Village since the presence campus of IPB. The result showed that the impact that caused is impact on community life aspects that is structural aspects and cultural aspects of Babakan village community. The changes on structural aspects are the increase of livelihoods diversity, the patterns of stratification changes, the establishment of new social groups, increasingly fading of social interaction and demographic pattern changes. Besides that, the changes on cultural aspects of community are the elements of rural culture changes, the shift of values and norms that exist in the society and also life style change of the rural community. Public attitudes towards the existence of campus of IPB mostly positive value. Public attitudes towards the presence of IPB’s campus has a negative relationship with society characteristics including age, income level and period of resided in Babakan village. Education level have positive relationship with public attitudes. There is also no significant differences in gender characteristic in the formation of attitudes towards the existence campus of IPB. | en |
