dc.description.abstractNative chicken is a kind of local chicken in Indonesia. The opportunity of native chicken farm business is more attractive and rapidly growing. The number of population and average consumption per capita is increasing, beside that the price of native chicken production was also relatively stable, in fact it’s tend to increase and never been shaken by market price fluctuations. However, the cultivation of native chicken remains faced with risk of production. The risk of production become one of the obstacles in the process of native chicken farming in Jimmy's Farm which is causing losses to the company. This study intend to analyze the sources of production risk and it's impact, then analyze alternative strategies appropriate to manage the source of risk. There are three sources of risk at Jimmy's Farm with probability value and impact that generated by each sources. The source of the risk are: disease, air temperature inside the stable, and non-diseases. The propose of alternative strategy to manage the sources of risk of the air temperature is by using preventive strategy, and for the source of risk of disease is by using preventive and mitigation strategies to prevent and minimize the risk along with the impact produced.en
