Perencanaan Lanskap Pasca Tambang Batubara Sebagai Arboretum di Kawasan Tanah Putih Pulau Sebuku Kalimantan Selatan
Abstract
Exploitation of coal through the open mining system cause negative impacts for environmental sustainability. Land reclamation efforts of post-mining area is the obligation of the mining company involved. It aims to restore the condition as previously. Landscape planning plays the role to optimize the next utilization. This study is conducted in an after coal mines which covers on 223 hectares land area at Tanah Putih, Mandin Village, Pulau Sebuku District, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. The objectives of this study are to identify the characteristics of post-coal mining and to compose a landscape planning of post-coal mining as an arboretum to implement land, water and biodiversity conservation. This study uses methods including preparation, inventory, analysis, synthesis, and planning. The basic concept of this plan is to develop the post coal mining area as an arboretum conserving land, water and biodiversity especially indigenous plants. The concept was developed into spatial, circulation, activity, facility, and also vegetation concept. Quantitative description and spatial analyze produce a landscape plan and distribution of area as the following: welcome area and service area 0.5%, cultivation area 11%, conservation area 29.7%, education of conservation area 0.8%, collection area 40%, and buffer area 18%.
