dc.description.abstractThe role of cooperatives in economic development can be realized by exsisting their member active participations in every cooperative business activity which are benefit for improving welfare in the form of social and economic benefits. This study aims to analyze the level of member participation in the activities of North Bandung Cattle Breeder Cooperative (KPSBU) West Java. The method of analysis used was the Spearman Rank analysis which determined the relationship between the cooperative’s socio-economic benefits and its member participation level. The results showed that the relationship between social-economic benefits and member participation level in the fields of organization, business and capital had a strong relationship or moderately high association. The strongest relationship which was seen between the social-economic benefits and the member participation level was the relationship in a field of organization, especially the members’attendant in annual member meeting (RAT). The perceived social benefits are the relations of good cooperation between executive board members in terms of service and the fulfillment of the requirements for breeders. While the economic benefits perceived is the guarantee marketing milk and additional income after being a member (KPSBU) West Java.en
