| dc.description.abstract | Adolescents are very susceptible to encountering conflict everyday, one of which is the sibling relationship. Mother’s parenting could help adolescents handle it to be better. This research aims to know the influence of mother’s parenting style to sibling relationship based mother’s working status. The sample in this study are families who have more than one child and one of them is teenage aged 12-15 years old who lived in Kebon Pedes and Kedung Badak Village, Tanah Sareal, Bogor City. Sample taken by purposive sampling in 60 families consisting of 30 working mother families and 30 nonworking mother families that were interviewed with questionnaire. The results showed that there was no difference in mother’s parenting style and siblings relationship on working and nonworking mother families. Mother's working status and adolescent’s allowance influence on conflict/rivalry dimension in sibling relationship. Warmth/closseness dimension in sibling relationship affected by the high education of mother and the low authoritarian parenting style. | en |
