dc.description.abstractThe internship program has been conducted at PTP Nusantara IV, Dolok Ilir Estate, Medan, Sumatera Utara from February 13 to May 13 2012. The purpose of this internship program is to learn oil palm cultivation and specifically to analyzes the factors that influence the production of palm oil. The data that has been collected consist of primary and secondary data. Dolok Ilir Estate generally have applied the technique of oil palm cultivation in accordance with standard operating procedures that have been established by the company. Based on the regression equation using the least squares method, the production of FFB (fresh fruit bunches) are not affected by the rate of decline in the number of stands. The coefficient of P-value generated in the analysis was 87.4%. The main problem is the loss of crop harvest that affecting the production of palm oil.en
