dc.description.abstractAs people living around the forest area (forest villages), the villagers of Sidomulyo, Silo, Jember, very much depending on the forest. As coffee farmer, they had no problem with the land. Over time, land is fragmented, especially through inheritance, so that is reducing availability and carrying capacity. Even some residents eventually have no land at all that could be working on. This situation contrasts with the surrounding area that is a vast forest. The open of the political structure at the macro level spread to Sidomulyo and encourage citizens to demand justice for natural resource (forest) management to shared prosperity which is increasingly rare due to the closure of their access to protected forest. Their social movement become reclaiming of protected forest areas that had been under the management of Perhutani. Forests that reclaimed then made by them as coffee plantation.en
