dc.description.abstractNURLAILI RAHMAH DINI. The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence with Adolescent Santri’s Obedience and Autonomy in Pondok Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah. Supervised by DIAH KRISNATUTI and TIN HERAWATI. Pesantren is one of national education institution which focuses not only in general knowledge but also religion knowledge. Obedience and autonomy are two things which popularly in boarding school life. There are many activities and rules that students have to do well. The main objective of this research was to observe the relation between emotional intelligence with obedience and autonomy of santri. The method of this research was cross sectional study with 63 samples. Analysis data which used was Sample’s Independent T-test, Spearman’s Correlation, and Chi-Square’s Correlation. The results of this research showed that emotional intelligence level of females was higher than males. Obedience level of females was classified as middle level and males was classified as low level. Autonomy level of females and males was classified as high level. There was correlation between emotional intelligence with obedience and autonomy. Despite of that, there was also correlation between quantities of family with emotional intelligence. If students had good emotional intelligence, they also had good obedience and autonomy. Keyword : emotional intelligence, obedience, autonomyid
