dc.description.abstractThirty male and thirty female ducks (Anas domesticus) were killed and dissected. Body weight varied from 160 to 1500 g. carcass percentage increased with the increased in body weight (b = 1.1787). Percentage of carcass muscle (b = 1.2740), carcass fat (b = 1.3616), carcass skin (b = 1.2489) increased and that of carcass bone ( b = 0.9509) decrease with the increase in body weight, Percentages of muscle (b = 1.0810), fat (b = 1.1592), skin (b = 1.0598) increased and that of bone (b = 0.8044) decrease with increase in carcass weight. The growth of carcass and that of its component, relative to body weight and carcass weight were not significantly affected by sex. At the same body weight and at the same carcass wight, males had a significant higher carcass bone weight taht females (P/0.01).id
