Penentuan Tipe Konstruksi Sumur Resapan Berdasarkan Sifat-sifat Fisik tanah dan Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat di Kawasan Puncak
Abstract
A change of land utilization from agriculture and forest land to either utilization such as for housing area, villa, hotels, and restaurants will have an impact on the decrease of water absorption level and increase of run off. This study is an experimental test on four types of water infiltration well which were placed at eight location at Puncak area. This research had been conducted for six months, from February until July 1998. The objectives of this study are : (1) to analyze the ability of different types of water infiltration well to absorb water; (2) to analyze the correlation between water volume in the water infiltration well and soil's physical characteristics; (3) to analyze the extent of relationship between rainfall intensity as well as width of roof area and the water volume in the water infiltration well; (4) to examine the extent of knowledge and acceptance of the iocal community to the water infiltration well. This studi collected primary data (soil's physical characteristics, water absoption rate, rainfall, water quality of water infiltratior~ well, and socioeconomic), and secondary data. Interviews which were to 50 respondents were carried out chosen by the method of purpossive sampling. The results of water absorption rate measurement in the water infiltration well indicated that the water absorption rate ranges from 0,97 to 5,06 mlday. The highest water absorption rate was occurred at the water infiltration well of type IV. The Pearson's correlation analysis showed that the soil drainage porous, aggregate stability, texture of clay fraction, and infiitration have no significant correlation with the water volume in the water infiltration well (p>0,15). Whereas permeability and texture of sand fraction have a significant correlation with the water volume in the water infiltration well (p<0,15). The multiple regression analysis showed that the width of roof area and the water volume in the water infiltration well have not a significant correlation (p>0,15), while the water volume in the water infiltration well have a significant correlation with rainfall intensity (pc0,15). The extent of respondents knowledge on the water infiltration well was a relatifly low, but most of them have a positive attitude towards water infiltration well. Water quality of the water infiltration well (clearness, DHL, and pH) met the conditions of clean water.
