| dc.description.abstract | Pig is one of the potencial livestock as meat producer. The increase of production and its productivity has continually been done through its beneficial characteristics such as prolific (high in litter size), high in feed efficiently, live weight gain an carcass percentage. In pig production, feed cost is the biggest part of production cost, it can reach up to 70-80%, therefore an effort to use feed efficiently should be done to get the maximum profit. Biotetes SozoFM-4 is one of the new appropriate technology in agriculture that might resolve the problem. Biotetes SozoFM-4 is an organic based feed supplement, that influence in enhance metabolism pig as well as increase growth rate. The aim of this research was to study the influence of biotetes SozoFM-4 on the pig performances during growing period. The Completely Randomized Design with four treatment levels were use in this experiment. The treatment levels of biotetes SozoFM-4, wich are 0, 1, 2 and 3 drops per 20 kg body weight. Sixteen castrated growing local pigs were alotted to the treatment. Data were analysed with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), then followed by the Tukey test on convidence level of 95 and 99% if the effect was significant. The result showed that the supplementation of biotetes SozoFM-4 to the ration very significantly (P<0,01) increased feed consumptions, average daily gain and feed efficiency, while water content of feces was not affected by treatments, and less protein content were found in feces of the pigs fed ration supplemented with biotetes SozoFM-4, might be a sign of better protein absorbtion.
