dc.description.abstractIn the year 1985, amount export of the gaharu Indonesia reach about 1487 ton, but exploit the tropical experienced forest and gaharu hunt which do not in control have resulted the species-species of gaharu become the rareness. As for this research target is to get the appropriate material composition for the growth of explan and to get the hormone concentration grow the IBA (Indole Butyric Acid) optimal for growth of root the eksplan sprout G. versteegii of through technique of ex vitro. Assorted of material grow and various concentration of IBA hormone can yield the growth which different each other, knowable so that composition of material and best hormone concentration for the growth of explan of gaharu sprout by ex vitro. Expected from this research result is obtained by information of about material grow appropriate and best hormone concentration for the growth of explan of sprout G.Versteegii (Gilg) Domke, applicable to so that utilize to support the continuation of plasma nutfah. In research implementation, appliance used : box mica, glass aqua 240 ml, cutter, cut the crop, mulch, paranet, board slice, steples, speryer, and lable paper. Substance used by for example explan of sprout Gyrinops versteegii, IBA hormone ( 400, 450, 500, 550, 600 ppm), growquick, benstar 50 WP, agrept 20 WP, material (land, sand, and compost), antracol, agristik, calcium carbonate. All eksplan is soaked at condensation (vitamin B1, sterilization, and hormone by various concentration), and also pasta oles of shares of jetty explan, direct planted each material (single land, single sand, and mixture land-sand-compost) is entered at box mica. Call a meeting to order and disteples and keep in mulch. Result of research the obtained percentage live equal treatment to 66,67%, while at control equal to 83,33%. This matter indicate that living of hormone not have an in with percentage live explan. High growth explan is also influenced by media type. While hormone very having an effect on to root. Seen from percentage take root pursuant to hormone concentration, concentration highest 550 ppm that is 95,52%. But, not far different from concentration 450 ppm with percentage take root to equal 95,16%. If evaluated from level of fifth concentration hormone, all concentration represent optimal concentration for the root of gaharu explan From previous result can be concluded that media composition which good to growth of gaharu explan is ground land single media with percentage live 89,33%. While hormone which optimal for the root of gaharu explan with concentration 550 ppm. But concentration 450 ppm also good to root, although not as optimal as concentration 550 ppm.
